Young and the Restless revolves around the rivalry, songs, hopes and fears of the inhabitants of the metropolis Middle fictional Genoa City. The life and loves of a wide range of characters are mixed generations, dominated by family Newman, Abbott and Winters. When the show debuted in 1973, it revolutionized the drama of the day. Continuing to set the standard with a strong character, story lines socially conscious, romance and sensuality. Young and the Restless debuted on March 26, 1973, and was originally stand for 30 minutes. It was not until January 1980, the show was an hour show, as it is today. The show ran for many years in 1230, on the east coast, and at 11:00 pm on the West Coast. Over the years, a lot has happened, and there were many twisted plot lines, many men kidnapped, and many people also showed character crossover with another CBS soap, The Bold and beautiful. These include psychotic Sheila Carter, who started on the Young and the Restless and revealed more psychotic side Bold and beautiful. The same goes for Lauren Fenmore, which can also be seen in the Bold and the Beautiful from time to time. Young and the Restless is not like other soaps that convey the surreal life. This show, however, based on the life of people in a small town called Genoa City, Wisconsin, where money is abundant and thus women. Often we want, so we can live in this small mid-western city to see how life will actually be. Sometimes we put our own problems aside and worry about what will happen in the series.
